The Booklist refers to a list of books of different types for different courses. For Example, the textbooks, reference books, and notebooks. You can publish list of book for particular period for students/guardians and they can access it under Resource -> Book List. You can navigate to the Booklist module through Academic → Book List from the menu. Make sure you have the book-list:manage permission checked to access the module.

To add a new booklist, click the ‘Add Book List’ button. There, you can choose the book type, course (class), subject, Title of the book, its author, publisher, and description.

After saving, the book will be visible on the book’s list. Students/Guardians will be able to see the list of Books under Resource → Book List menu from the left sidebar.

Importing Book List

Make sure your Excel file contains only a single sheet. Having multiple sheets may produce unexpected results.

To import book list using excel sheet, download the format from Profile Dropdown -> Download Format and complete the excel sheet.

Here is a list of all the columns for book list import, along with brief explanations:

  1. Type: Mandatory; can be Textbook, Reference Book or Notebook
  2. Course: Mandatory; must match the name of the course defined under Academic → Course
  3. Subject: Optional; if entered must match the name of the subject defined under Academic → Subject
  4. Title: Mandatory, Title of the book
  5. Author: Optional; available when type is Textbook or Reference Book
  6. Publisher: Optional; available when type is Textbook or Reference Book
