The division module allows you to categorize courses into specific levels or groups. This helps in organizing courses and managing them more effectively. For example, in a school, you can group Nursery, KG I, and KG II into a division called "Pre-Primary." In a college, you might group all introductory courses under the "Engineering" or “Business” or “Commerce” division.

Examples

To access the Division module, navigate to Academic → Division from the left sidebar menu. Users must have the division:read permission to access this module.

To create a division, click the "Add Division" button, which will take you to the division form. You can enter the division name, provide a code and shortcode for various uses, along with the position (used to reorder divisions) and a description. The payment gateway account input allows you to collect payments in a separate account for each division. If you don’t collect division wise fee payment, then you can leave this field empty.

This process will create a division in the selected academic period. To edit a division, users must have the division:edit permission, and to delete a division, the division:delete permission is required. Typically, these permissions are not available to staff and are managed by a manager or administrator.

There is an option to add a division incharge. To do this, click on the "Incharge" button available in the division list table. Users must have the division-incharge:list permission to access this feature. Division incharges will have access to all the students studying in the courses under that division, along with related data.

You can create division incharges for various periods. To assign an incharge:
