An exam term is a specific duration within an academic period designated for conducting major exams and assessments. It typically involves a series of tests that evaluate students' knowledge and understanding of the material covered during that term.

To create an exam term, navigate to the left sidebar menu and select Exam → Exam Term. The user must have the exam-term:manage permission to access this option. Each academic period can have its own exam term.

Exam terms can be associated with divisions, though the division input is optional. The position field accepts integer values and is used to order exam terms.

These exam terms are further utilised to create exams and their schedules.
