The Finance Module in InstiKit offers a comprehensive solution for managing the financial operations of schools, colleges, and institutes. It covers all fee-related tasks, such as fee structure creation, fee collection, and tracking payments. In addition to fee management, the module allows users to record income and expenses, manage account transfers, and generate detailed financial reports. This module ensures smooth and transparent financial transactions, helping institutions maintain accurate records of their finances.

To access the permissions related to the Finance Module, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Profile Dropdown located in the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. Navigate to Roles & Permissions.
  3. Select Permission from the menu.
  4. Choose the module labeled "Finance" to view and manage the permissions associated with the Finance Module.

This allows administrators to assign and control user access for finance-related features within the system.

  1. finance:config– This permission allows users to access and manage the configuration settings of the Finance Module.
  2. finance:report– This permission grants users the ability to access and view financial reports within the Finance Module.

These permissions ensure that only authorized users have access to sensitive financial data and configurations.

Setting Up Fee Structure

To set up the fee structure for your institute, follow these steps:

  1. Setup Fee Group: Group similar categories of fee heads together to organize your fee structure. This helps in managing related fees (e.g., Tuition Fees, Transport Fees).
  2. Setup Fee Head: Define each fee head under which specific fees will be collected. For example, you can create heads like Tuition Fee, Lab Fee, Sports Fee, etc.
