A program in the Academic Module refers to a structured set of courses and requirements that students must complete to achieve a specific educational goal. For example, in a school, a program could be "K-12," covering grades Kindergarten to 12th Class. In a college, a program might be "Bachelor of Science in Computer Science," encompassing all the courses and credits needed for the degree.
To access programs, navigate to Academic → Program
from the menu. Ensure that you have the program:manage
permission to access this module.
You can reorder different programs using the arrow icon (1). To create program types, you can use the Add Program Type button (2) shown in the image. Program type is optional, if you want to category program then you can create program types.
Each program can have its own incharge and the incharge will have access to all the students of the program and other related features. You can create incharge using Add Incharge button (3). If you have multiple programs and want to filter certain programs then you can use the filter button (5).
To create a new program, click the "Add Program" button (4). Enter the program type from a predefined list, along with the program name, alias, and description. You can assign a unique code and shortcode for identification across various platforms. To allow student registration, enable the registration option; disable it to stop accepting registrations.
After creation, programs can be used to define academic periods.
