The Transport Circle submodule defines specific ranges or areas that share the same transportation fee structure. For instance, a circle might be named after a locality such as Ramnagar or defined by distance ranges like 5-10 km. This classification helps in standardizing the fee structure for different geographic areas, making it easier to manage and apply consistent charges for transport services.
Examples:
To access the Transport Circle module, navigate to Transport → Circle
from the left sidebar menu. Users must have the transport-circle:read
permission to view and list all the transport circles.
To add a new Transport Circle, click on the "Add New" button. Enter a unique name for the transport circle that must be distinct within each academic period. This ensures that each circle is properly categorized and managed for the corresponding period. You can optionally add a description to provide more details about the transport circle. This helps in clearly identifying the circle’s coverage or any specific notes related to it.
Users with the transport-route:create
permission can add new transport routes, those with transport-route:edit
permission can modify existing routes, and users with transport-route:delete
permission can delete routes. Routes can be deleted only if they are not currently assigned to any transport vehicles or stoppages, ensuring that active routes remain intact for proper management of transport services.
After setting up transport routes, you can proceed to manage Transport Fee.
